Allotment Gardening & Nature

Home Education Group - Swanley

Wednesdays 12.45pm - 2pm

A fun, hands on learning experience designed especially for home educated children.

Our home education group takes place on a working allotment in Swanley, where children can explore, discover, and learn through nature. Sessions are designed to spark curiosity and build confidence through practical, engaging activities in an outdoor environment.

What to Expect

Each session is structured but relaxed, giving children the best of both learning and social time:

50 mins / 1 hour of led learning – age appropriate, hands on activities focused on allotment skills, nature, and seasonal learning

15/20 minutes optional social time – an opportunity for children to play, chat, and build friendships

Activities are adapted to suit younger learners, using a mix of practical tasks, exploration, and creative approaches to keep learning enjoyable and accessible.

Who It’s For

Ideal for primary aged, home educated children who enjoy being outdoors, learning by doing, and making new friends in a calm, friendly setting.

This group is created with neurodivergent children in mind but not exclusively for them. Delivered by experienced facilitators, the group welcomes children who will benefit from a more nurtured, gentle approach.
