Together We Grow - Community Garden
Our Community Garden for families of autistic/ADHD children, is based within a working allotment site, in Swanley Kent. Funded by the National Lottery, we are able to offer two sessions each week.
Both enjoying the benefits of community, nature and allotment life but each with a slightly different focus.
Parent/carer focused session.
Wednesdays 9.30am -11am.
Opportunity for parents to come without their children to enjoy time in nature, learn new skills, support their own wellbeing, whilst being part of a community of people who just get it.
Family focused sessions.
Saturdays 1pm -2.30pm
Our family focused sessions are great for families, siblings are welcome too. Learn about growing food, engage in community projects, whilst meeting other families.
So what do we do at our community garden?
With activities such as;
watering,
weeding,
digging,
planting,
seed sowing
craft,
harvesting,
caring for nature,
friendship,
community
and so much more.
We share all harvest between attendees and any unwanted surplus goes to support the local food cupboard too.
How much does it cost?
The community garden is currently funded by the National Lottery, so free to attend.
